Dugout Dice
DUGOUT DICE
BASEBALL · DICE · POKER
Roll five dice. Build a poker hand. Swing for the fences.
Dugout Dice is a roguelike deckbuilder wearing a 1986 arcade cabinet. Three of a Kind is a single. Full House, a double. Straight, a triple. Four of a Kind puts it over the wall. You get nine innings, three outs, and a scoreboard target that climbs every frame — so you'd better be building something bigger than a lineup.
THE RUN
Every inning you clear pays out, and between innings the concourse shop opens:
- Superfan Boosts — 135 crew cards that stand in the bleachers and fire on every swing. Stack them into an engine that turns a scratch single into a five-figure inning.
- Consumables — 58 one-shot items. An extra die. A free reroll. Bases loaded out of nowhere. Pop it when the at-bat goes sideways.
- Signings — draft free agents into your batting order from a pool of 300+ players. Stronger hitters roll better dice, and lineup-position powers reward batting the right guy in the right slot.
- Die Mods — bolt a permanent power onto one of your five dice.
- Suite Tickets — run-long relics: extra crew slots, shop discounts, juiced hits.
- Card Packs — pay to open, pick from the spread.
Then the 9th inning arrives and a closer takes the mound with a rule-warping gimmick — dice frozen solid, faces turned down, home runs ruled outs. Bosses with entrance music.
A CAREER, NOT A RUN
Ten leagues, Rookie ball to the World Series. Each is a full season: ten regular games, a semifinal, and a championship, with the bar rising the whole way.
- Rivalry games — talk trash on a scheduled opponent and they show up furious: same team, warped rules, better arm. Beat them and sign an Epic-or-better bat.
- Sponsorships, the trade deadline, the All-Star break — the season has a calendar, and it has opinions about your roster.
- Pennant tiers — win the ring, then run it back harder. Silver starts every inning with an out. Gold takes a consumable slot. Platinum gives you zero rerolls per at-bat. Bonuses are all you get.
